Maricopa County Home and Garden Show 2020

Last week we had the pleasure of spending a few days at the Maricopa County Home & Garden Show taking place at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix. This was our second year attending this show and we once again had a great time and a lot of great conversations about our services and water heaters in general. Here is our booth from the show:

Of course, there were plenty of water heaters on display as well as our Grand Prize: A Taco on-demand circulation pump. Here is a little better look at it:

Grand Prize: A Taco on-demand circulation pump

For those of you that aren’t familiar with what a circulation pump does, they basically make sure that it doesn’t take forever to get hot water to your shower or sink by either pushing or pulling the hot water to the faucet, dependent on where they are located. By reducing the wait time, you are saved the annoyance of waiting, but, most importantly, you aren’t wasting water, which is good for the environment and your water bill.

These circulation pumps are either installed on the water heater itself or, as you can see above, under the sink in the bathroom that is the farthest from the water heater, where you would typically encounter a long wait time for hot water. The circulation pump that we were giving away pulls the hot water to the faucet when a button is pushed. The button is located right by the pump and you can see it on the top right of the cabinet. Some even have a remote button that be pushed for even easier use. For more information about circulation pumps, click here to check out our blog.

While the circulation pumps were certainly a hot topic at the show, we also talked to a lot of people about tankless water heaters. Tankless water heaters are great for several reasons including:

  • They essentially provide endless hot water (though it should be noted that it all depends on the amount of hot water being used, especially if several faucets are running at the same time). That’s because there is no storage tank to run out of hot water. The tankless water heaters use a burner assembly that heats the water as it is being used.
  • Due to their size, they can be placed in many locations that a traditional water heater can’t. So if you’re looking to free up some space, a tankless water heater might be an option for you.
  • They are more energy efficient than many storage-type water heaters. That’s because when the hot water isn’t being used, the water heater isn’t constantly heating water in the water heater itself.

In conclusion, if you would like more information about circulation pumps or any other water heater products, feel free to give us a call 24/7 at 1-800-835-0077. One of our water heater experts will be happy to answer any question you may have or even set up an appointment for one of our technicians to come take a look and give you an estimate. Until next time, thanks for checking us out and we’ll see you at the next show!
